Lawnscaping Rainbow Challenge - Stripey Monsters

Hello! Welcome back to my blog for another card - or two in this case! I made these cards for the Lawnscaping rainbow challenge. I never liked rainbows, but now that I've made a few cards for this challenge I think I will continue! Follow the link below the image to join into the challenge yourself!

As I said before, I have two cards to share with you. Here's the first one!

I just love this one! I think it came out so cute! Probably one of my favorites! I started by using some washi tape to mask off horizontal stripes so that I could do some Distress Inking. I used Festive Berries, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Salty Ocean, and Seedless Preserves. It was like a magic show when I peeled back the tape to reveal the stripes! I did a little happy dance!!

I actually all ready had the little monsters colored. I did a bunch of Copic and Spectrum Noir coloring for the 30 Day Coloring Challenge last month and I am still working through my stash of colored images. It does make putting a card together so much easier! I added some white dot detail to my monsters, stamped a sentiment, and added some fun foam behind my inked panel and that was it! So cute and easy!

Here's my second card!

I made this card as a thank you for a friend of mine! I started by adding some splotches of Distress Inks (see above for the exact colors) and then I used Pumice Stone to add the background. I dried my panel and then went back in with more colors to get that splotchy watercolor look.

I used my Memento ink to stamp the cupcakes, sentiment, and a bunch of little hearts and that was it! I love the way this one turned out, too!

I hope you guys enjoyed! See you soon!
